Grow Your Faith

Salvation.  Justification.  Sanctification.  Big words to explain the life-changing, eternity-impacting moment that you place your total faith in Jesus Christ, and identify with His death, burial, and resurrection - simply when you obey The Gospel.  Here’s the truth - many Christians believe that they’re ‘finished’ at their conversion, but that couldn’t be further from accurate.  Sure, you’re made right before God at that very moment, but you’re just beginning this incredible journey known as the faith-walk.  There’ll be twists and turns, ups and downs, good times and not-so good times, but we want you to have a few tools to help you navigate through that journey.

At Christian Life Austin, we want you to have an opportunity to not just began the faith-walk, but to continue that walk towards a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  There are a few ways you can do that here.

First, we believe you were formed for God’s family.  That means we believe you grow your faith best when you do so with other believers to encourage you, inspire you, pray for you, and believe with you.  In short - we believe in membership at Christian Life.  You need a church family to help you grow a balanced, integrated spiritual life, and we want to be that family.  The first step towards become a fully devoted family member here at Christian Life is our quarterly Connect Point Luncheons.  These informal, 75 minute events are the front door to our church.  In this lunch, you’ll hear our values and vision, and learn about our mission and ministries.  Then, you’ll get the chance to take the next step, and connect with one of our ministries, grow your faith with others, and use your gifts and talents to serve here.

“…don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life…” Romans 6:3-4

Baptism is a remarkable step towards a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.  When you’re baptized, you bury your past - your past mistakes, hang-ups, mess-ups, and sin - and you raise out of the water a completely new creation in Jesus Christ.  Baptism is the outward expression of the inner commitment to a life change - a direction change.  If you’ve never taken the plunge in baptism, identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, click the button to the left, and sign up today for our next Baptism Celebration!
